On this page we plan to thank those people who, apart from the major sponsors, are currently helping the Association. These people have, of their own accord, offered their assistance in a variety of ways and so help to secure the future of the Association.

George Leonard

George first made contact with us a number of years ago, saying that he had been taking videos at local races, he had put together a number of clips showing members of the Association in action and would we be interested. The video turned out to be really good and we immediately put it to good use on our stand at motorcycle shows to aid recruitment. It was very popular with the general public and indeed subsequently sold many copies. The amount of time spent putting it together must have been phenominal. George's relationship with the Association has grown since then and he still helps us out in many ways e.g he advertises the Association on his racing van. He is very talented and a typical example of his work can be seen on our For Sale page i.e. the storage box.
George runs the Leonard Honda Classic Racing Team and, with Adrian McFarland on board the 350 c.c. Honda K4 twin swept the boars last season to win the Irish Classic 350 c.c short circuit title and finished third in the Irish Classic 350 c.c. Road Race Championship. He was also second at the Southern 100. It was also in the Isle of Man, at the 2004 Pre TT Classic Event that the machine was piloted by Eleanor Forrest, who became the first lady to win a road race i.e. the Support Classic 350 c.c. event.
Sadly George's father, Ian recently passed away after a long illness. Ian was a great supporter of the sport and a real gentleman. George and his mother are real enthusiasts and deserve every success they have achieved. A small point of interest - the machine sports two Marshals Association stickers on the fairing and can be assured of very careful handling by the members if Adrian ever 'throws it down the road'.
Thanks again George for all your help

James is the proprieter of the TV, Video and Hi-FI Specialists Dempseys of Portstewart. He has provided us with a combined DVD and TV System which we have used on our stand at the recent shows to help promote the Association.
We are extremely grateful for this help and would urge our visitors to this site that, when the occasion arises, to remember those who help the sport.
