Welcome
to the home page of the Marshals Association. We are a dedicated body
of people involved in the marshalling of motorcycle racing events, mainly
in the province of Ulster, but also in the rest of Ireland.
We are an integral part of the Ulster Centre of the Motor Cycle Union
of Ireland, the Governing Body of the Sport and our aim is the continual
improvement of marshalling standards at events.
We are always looking
for new members and, after visiting our site, if you think you might like
to give marshalling a try please contact us.
Operation
of the Association:
The Association comprises Road and Flag Marshals with some members doing
either job as required. At Short Circuits we man various posts as required
by the Chief Marshal. At Road Races we mainly operate in groups, manning
a Zone, each Group being led by a Zone Marshal. However some members operate
outside these groups, which is quite acceptable to the Association.

Welcome
to the Ulster Centre Marshals association Website.
The Marshals Association
is pleased to continue the relationship with our sponsor, Millsport Motorcycles,
Ballymoney and would like to express our gratitude to them. We would urge
the reader to give them your support.
The Assocation is
keen to take on new recruits, especially those interested in marshalling
at short circuits. If interested please contact the Membership Secretary
Sam Simpson or submit an application for membership.
Last weekend we attended
the Cookstown 100 and manned a number of zones. Initial reports have suggested
that everyone did well in spite of a number of problems.
We had a busy day at Gortin Corner (13 fallers) plus one serious accident,
all of which were dealt with very efficiently by a good team (thanks everyone).
This weekend we manned
a number of zones at the Tandragee 100 and a special thanks to the team
who helped me out at Cooley Hill.

The Tandragee event
was abandoned due to the tragic death of competitor Martin Finnegan in
the 600cc race. The Marshals Association wish to convey their deepest
sympathy to his wife, daughter and the family cilcle.
